Wish List's

Summer Wish List

This past weekend my hubby and I were talking about how summer is coming and I got to thinking how there is so much I would like to do this summer if my body allows… lately I have been having a couple good days where I cannot even believe it is my own body. With all that being said, I tried to write out a wish list of things I would like to do here in Michigan with all the nice days will be having.

  1. My biggest thing that I always want to do is go up to the Upper Peninsula. If you have never been to Michigan or our Upper Peninsula you will want to go sometime in your future. Our U.P is absolutely breathtaking and there is so much you can do there. We took a trip with family up there last summer and it was so much fun, I did not want to leave and go back home to reality.
    1. One of the biggest things you can do in the U.P is see one of our beautiful Islands Mackinac and also the Mackinac Bridge.
      1.  This is the grand hotel that you can see while visiting Mackinac Island. One of the many things that can be seen there.
    2. We also have some gorgeous areas after you cross the Mackinac which brings you into our Upper Peninsula.
      1. There is Pictured Rocks is near the South shore of Lake Superior. These are known for their multi-colored rocks and the formations they make along with beautiful waterfalls. You can take a boat tour and go along all of them. You can kayak on the lake and get really close up. Also if you like to hike, there are trails that are set out to hike along the rocks and see different lookouts of the Lake.
      2. There is a place called Kitch-iti-kipi: this is one of our largest natural freshwater springs. Below are some pictures because the name does not do this place justice.
  2. Another one of my favorite places to go when in the U.P that is a must see would have to be going to look at Tahquamenon Falls.
  3. The second thing I would like to do is to go camping. I absolutely love to camp, hang out around the fire and spend time with friends and family. When I was younger, I can remember my family and I going camping almost every weekend or during the week in the summer when we didn’t have school.
  4. I want to go to silver lake and sleeping bear dunes, so here in Michigan we have some really cool dunes that you can ride on, walk on etc .. and they are gorgeous areas.
  5. Go see a Detroit Tigers baseball game. I went to one last year and they are so much fun to see.
  6. Paint Nite: the paint, wine, and sip are so much fun. I have only done a couple but I would like to do another one this summer outside in the sun would be a lot of fun, wouldn’t it?
  7. Go to a craft show or be a vendor at a craft show. I absolutely love to craft and make products for people. Doing this brings me so much joy, I would like to be able to get my name out there more and just show people what I have to offer.

Now, these are only a few things but I know a lot of them will really tire me out and between doctors appointments and surgeries I am not sure I will be able to accomplish all on this list. But my goal is to be able to by the end of summer, so keep an eye out for my end of summer blog posts. I  will say if I am not able to accomplish all of these, I would also be happy just hanging outside and spending time with friends and family.

Also if your from MI or if you’re from out of town and you want to know more about what to do in MI (especially the U.P) I would love to answer any questions you have? You can comment here or send any of them to my email.

Yes, I am a very proud dog mom and love spending time with my dog.  I also enjoy crafting, reading, hunting, being outdoors, spending time with family and writing & singing music. I never knew when I was younger that this is where I would be in life at this very moment.  When I found out I was sick, my life took a turn for the worse for quite a while. It always felt if it wasn't one thing it was another, first, it was head injuries (about 12 concussions or more to be exact), then there were heart problems. I never thought in a million years it would have got as bad as it did, but through it all, I knew that God had it. Did I have my doubts? Of course, I did! Who in their right mind wouldn't? I just knew in my heart and still to this day know, this is exactly where the Lord wants me. With him all things are possible, and I know without him I would not be who I am today. Living the life of these illnesses has not kept me from pursuing and reaching my full potential. I was able to graduate with my Bachelors Degree in Human Resource Management, and health services administration. I worked incredibly hard at school, my strength and endurance pushed me to be the best I could be. And now here I am starting this beautiful blog of mine and pursuing another goal in life and helping others reach theirs in every way that I can possibly can! So, please let me know what I can do to help you today? Send me a message
